About Us

Iron Workers Local 8 is one of the greatest skilled trade unions across North America.  Since 1901, Local 8 has proudly served the industry and the community in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Through the good times and bad, Iron Workers Local 8 remains as strong as ever in meeting or exceeding the needs of contractors.  The same traditions of hard work, fair play, and strong leadership that built the modern infrastructure of the 20th century continue today.  Members continue to go above and beyond for each other often emphasizing and taking additional training to stay abreast on the most up to date safety standards.  In the future Iron Workers Local 8 will continue to do what it does best - Build the Infrastructure of our Communities.
